Investing in a great organization

"Doing a corporate fundraiser allowed our team to personally invest in a great organization and feel like they were a part of something bigger. Family and friends were happy to give to such a great cause and to an organization that is doing very tangible, positive work in our local communities. At Longboard, one of our core values is giving back so we were proud to encourage employees to give by matching their donations to Habitat for Humanity in the Greater Vancouver area." Micheyla, Longboard.

How did the team become engaged

Longboard challenged employees to fundraise, to take part in a Habitat Build Day. To further engage employees, they incentivized them by matching the funds raised.

Their involvement hasn’t stopped there. Longboard have also donated building materials to the Mission build site, helping to reduce Habitat’s costs.  By providing top quality materials, they have also reduced the amount of future maintenance required over the years. Thank you to Longboard for their ongoing generous support!

why it is important to be involved

Corporate philanthropy fosters employee engagement and generates business value. When you partner with Habitat for Humanity, not only are you changing the lives of local families, you are creating a positive public image for your company, enhancing your relationships with consumers, and creating a positive work environment.
